Delivering person-centred high-quality care

Welcome to Unique Options+ Ltd. We provide a nurse-led specialist complex service that delivers support to adults of all ages. Our service users have either a learning disability, physical disability, duel diagnosis, autism, brain injury and or any combination that may require a more complex care provision.
We can care for people who have a PEG, require catheter care, provide support with medication and or any other medical needs.

We specialise in using the positive behaviour model and the ABC chart. A positive behavioural model is a person-centred approach for people who display behaviour that challenges. It seeks to understand the reasons for the action so that any unmet needs can be met. The model looks at the person as a whole and takes into consideration their life history, physical health, and emotional needs. Unique Options+ also works within the 6Cs of care and the person-centred Value model.

We support people in supported living, residential and in community/outreach settings. We work with individuals so they can be as independent as possible at home and in the community.

Unique Options+ also has an agency department where we supply support workers, carers, and nurses to care homes and NHS hospitals. Each staff member will be trained to work on the agency, as well as in the community.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide our services to people within the community and additional settings. Our team are highly trained to meet the needs of the service user within their own homes and different environments. Every support worker we employ will be DBS checked and fully compliant, receive full mandatory training with additional training tailored around the clients we support. These additional training elements include the varying disabilities and how to care for people who are living with them, dual diagnosis, autism, medication, and side effects to look out for, PEG training, catheter care, positive behaviour model, 6C’s of care, and the person-centred value model.

Our team can support/assist individuals with personal care, housework, shopping, respite, medication, activities to improve their mental health illness and complex health such as PEG feeding and catheter care. We can provide packages from as little as 5 hours to 24 hours per day.
